The Annual Penn-Jersey District Rose Show: “Roses and Chocolate”

Saturday, September 17 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. and
Sunday, September 18 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

See dozens of gorgeous rose varieties grown by members of the Penn-Jersey District of the American Rose Society. The display and judging will take place in the Milton & Catherine Hershey Conservatory.

Rosarians will be in the Historic Rose Garden to answer your questions about rose varieties and care. On Sunday, family activities, such as a “rose bud” tour for young guests, will be hosted by Hershey Gardens staff and volunteers.

Included in admission; free for members.

12 p.m. Pruning demonstration by Curtis Aumiller, MR, Assistant Director of Penn Jersey District; meet near Swan Lake

1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Exhibition opens

1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Local flute quartet Elegant Airs performs in the Historic Rose Garden

2 p.m. “What’s Wrong with This Picture? Learning from Mistakes When Growing Roses,” Bill Dorn, CR, Director of Penn-Jersey District, Education Center in The Children’s Garden

10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Palmyra Greenhouse Flower Truck selling fresh cut flowers on-site

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Live music by Segno, a string duet featuring Harpist Sylvia Sweigert and the hammered dulcimer played by LillieMae Sweigert

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Rose Bud tours and Rose Bingo for kids
